This lexicon gathers a vocabulary and set of themes and methods for thinking the many relationships between law and listening: from A to Z and beyond. Rather than emphasizing depth of analysis, the text offers ‘shallow listening’ as a virtue instead. ‘Acoustics’, ‘bells’, ‘decibels’, ‘eavesdropping’, ‘noise’, ‘YouTube’, ‘zoning’… I hope the twenty-six entries will be read as a series of veins to be further mined and explored.
